Among other major parts of an essay such as an introduction and the main body a conclusion is a very vital part as it is your last chance to convince your reader and make him/her agree with your suggestions. Conclusion is written at the very end of an essay and usually consists of personal notes, personal opinions or suggestions depending on the type of an essay you are writing. Follow the useful tips below to make your conclusion strong and effective.
You can briefly summarize your essay while writing a conclusion. You can briefly discuss the main points in the conclusion to remind the reader about the main theme of an essay. Avoid providing a detailed summary as it can put your reader off. Two or three sentences will be sufficient.
Make sure your conclusion is relevant to the argument made in the body. You can provide suggestions on how to overcome a problem or a general comment. Remember it should not exceed more than two sentences.
Thesis is usually reinstated in the first two sentences. It works as a reminder to the reader what the main subject of an essay is.
Do not make your conclusion very long. It should be direct and to the point. It must not be longer than four or five sentences. A paragraph will be sufficient.
